As an experienced advertising photography director, I'm always exploring innovative ways to push the boundaries of my craft and create captivating visuals. Recently, I have been utilizing AI photography to achieve genuinely unique and exceptional images.

At UTÖKA, we have expanded our business model to include AI photography as a new offering. We use the same language and creative narrative techniques that we would employ when pitching a shoot to a client. The descriptive language sets the foundation for the technical and emotional aspects of the image, with the technical side encompassing elements such as cameras, lighting, models, styling, and location. The emotional side involves poetic descriptions of styling details, colors, feelings, locations, wardrobe, facial expressions, and poses. Mood boards serve as quick references to visualize the outcome. We have learned that choosing the right words to describe an image is crucial in evoking the desired emotional response.

Although we incorporate AI into our pre-production and post-production processes, we still rely on our expert skills, especially in retouching, to ensure that every detail is executed flawlessly. Our objective is to collaborate with clients using AI to create stunning, one-of-a-kind visuals that genuinely resonate with their target audience.

We have discovered that AI is beneficial for generating original stock imagery and achieving exceptional results in illustration and retouching. Additionally, we use AI to pre-visualize images before a shoot, allowing us to input proposed parameters and preview the results.

Overall, our experience with AI has been transformative, and we are excited to see where this technology will take us in the future. We aim to continue using AI photography to produce extraordinary and impactful visuals that leave a lasting impression on viewers.
